SPINDLE is a local-audio rethreader for bass-music producers who want a source transformed into a playable two-bar pressure loop. Load a vocal, break, chord, field recording, or other bit of useful matter. Drag each of eight wedges through the source timeline, then set its direction, pitch, and weight.
The fixed character is hard-spliced and tape-chewed rather than pristine time stretching. Global slice length, crossfade, tone, chew, and stereo drift turn the same wheel into a vocal shard fill, an ascending breakbeat pickup, or a smeared dub ghost. Presets leave session tempo alone, because overwriting BPM is the kind of tiny software crime that ruins live work.
Source/threaded A/B keeps transport phase intact. Live material edits latch at the next loop boundary. Export writes the same deterministic state as stereo 48 kHz PCM WAV for Ableton, resampling, or a DJ edit.
