RATLATCH is a monophonic bass-phrase forge for producers building rolling speed-garage underbass, climbing DnB pickups, and sparse dubstep calls. Drag sixteen cells vertically to write pitch, then switch the edit rail to place rests, accents, and slides without leaving the phrase.
The instrument fixes one rude, overdriven voice instead of impersonating a general-purpose synth. Oscillator body, sub weight, octave, filter mouth and bite, envelope fall, drive, gate length, and every step remain directly owned by the producer.
Playback loops until stopped, live edits latch at the next bar, and job recipes preserve session BPM. Audition and export use the same deterministic renderer. The finished four-bar stereo 48 kHz PCM WAV drops straight into Ableton for resampling, layering, or arrangement.
