Marker Kiln is for podcast editors moving approved chapter notes into Final Cut Pro. The recurring job is mechanically dull: translate a producer’s timestamp list into timeline markers without mistyping titles or rebuilding offsets by hand.
The usual workaround is manual marker entry, one timestamp and title at a time. Marker Kiln accepts MM:SS title notes, validates ordering, applies the selected frame rate and project offset, and compiles a standards-shaped FCPXML project for direct import.
The preview exposes each marker’s derived frame position. Every control changes the exported document, and malformed or descending timestamps fail before download. The committed validator checks the XML declaration, FCPXML version, project structure, frame duration, marker count, and increasing starts.
