CUTGLASS: Paint the Gaps Into a Bassline

Paint cut, ghost, open, and ratchet shards across sixteen steps, shape the material, then export the exact stereo WAV you auditioned.

CUTGLASS is a rhythmic spectral gate for producers turning sustained basses, pads, and drones into useful movement. Load local audio or use the dirty reese fixture, then paint sixteen shards with four articulations: cut, ghost, open, and ratchet. Dragging across the sequence makes broad rhythmic edits fast enough to audition instead of administrate.

The instrument keeps a hard, click-safe cutting character. You own the negative space, envelope behavior, spectral bias, harmonic fracture, and cross-channel afterimage. Three job recipes reach sparse halftime rupture, syncopated garage skip, and dense drum-and-bass roller teeth without replacing the editable pattern.

Playback loops until stopped. Material edits queue cleanly at the next bar line, and session tempo survives recipe changes. Hold the source button for phase-preserving A/B. Export writes the same deterministic buffer used for audition as a stereo 48 kHz, 16-bit PCM WAV ready for Ableton.
